“If you know what you’re worth, go and get what you deserve, but you’ll have to endure the blows.”ROCKY BALBOA
I will tell you about my story about how I was fired as a cleaner and promoted a restaurant associate …
The word determination comes from “termus” Latin word that indicates a term, which is a decision or resolution, which in turn implies courage and courage. The opposite of indeterminacy is doubt, uncertainty and hesitation.
Who takes a determination, good or bad, chooses and plays for a way, for an alternative; and executes it, carries it forward, and may result from that determination positive or negative consequences.
A question to ask ourselves: What is the determination? Should you persist forever and never give up?
“Nothing in the world can take the place of determination. Not the talent; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Not the genius; Genius without reward is almost a proverb. Ni Education; The world is full of educated negligees. Determination and determination are omnipotent. The motto “Keep going” has solved and will always solve the problems of the human race. ” Calvin Coolidge
Determination is the ability to maintain action, regardless of your feelings. Keep going even when you feel like quitting.
When you work at any great goal, the motivation increases and decreases as the waves of the sea hit the shore of the beach. Sometimes you will feel motivated, sometimes not. But it is not your motivation that will produce results – it is your action. Determination allows you to continue in action, even when you do not feel motivated to do so, and therefore the results accumulate.
The determination will ultimately generate your own motivations. If you just keep acting, at some point you will get results, and the results can be very motivating. For example, you can become much more excited about diet and exercise once you have lost the first 10 kilos and feel that your clothes are not so tight.
When to surrender Should you persist forever and never give up?
Of course not. Sometimes abandonment is clearly the best option.
So how do you know when to go forward and when to leave? Is your plan still correct? If not, update it. Is your goal still correct? If not, update it or abandon it. There is no honor in clinging to a goal that no longer inspires you. Determination is not stubbornness.
This was a very difficult lesson to learn for me. I had always believed that one should never give up, that once you set a goal, you must endure until the end. The captain sinks with the ship and all that. If I had ever been able to finish a project that I started, I would feel very guilty about it. Over time I realized that this is just nonsense.
If you are growing in everything as a human being, then you will be a different person each year than you were the year before. And if you consciously seek your personal development, then the changes will be dramatic and rapid. You can not guarantee that the goals you set today will be the same you want to achieve in a year from now.
The value of the determination does not come from stubbornly clinging to the past. It is a vision of the future that is so compelling that you would give almost anything to make it come true. The determination of the action comes from the determination of the vision. When it is super clear what you want in such a way that your vision does not change much, you will be more consistent – and persistent – in your actions. And the consistency of the action will produce consistency in the results.
Can you identify a part of your life where you have demonstrated a pattern of long-term determination? I think that if you can identify an area, this can give you a clue to your mission – something you can work on where there is synergy between passion and dedication.
